The Western New Mexico University Museum will host an opening reception for our upcoming Centennial exhibition. The opening reception will feature an introduction to the first of four exhibitions that focus on the history of WNMU from the time it was founded in 1893 to the present day.
The first exhibition will open on February 10, 2012 and will feature a series of displays focusing on the founding of the Normal School in 1893 and will cover time through 1912. The displays will feature photographs, newspapers, posters, and other artifacts from the era.
The opening reception will feature a lecture by Dr. Cynthia Bettison, Director of the WNMU Museum. A digital photograph display will also be shown. Refreshments will be available as well.
