End of the Trail: Cattle Drive Round-Up Festival

Help celebrate the finale of one of New Mexico’s Centennial events. The End of the Trail: Cattle Drive Round-Up Festival will be held at the Eddy County Sheriff’s Posse Arena on Saturday, May 12, 2012.

The 1912 re-enactment of a cattle drive featuring 100 head of longhorn cattle bearing the special New Mexico Centennial brand will end their journey in Carlsbad where the cattle will be auctioned off during the festivities.

Attractions at the festival include vendors, reenactors, music, children’s area, junior rodeo and lots of food! The festival will begin Saturday morning while the cattle will arrive around 2pm.
