It’s All Symbolic: The State Symbols of New Mexico

A profile of New Mexico’s official and unofficial state symbols, including some of the stories behind the symbols (or those who created them, like the writers of our state songs) and how some of the symbols came to be officially recognized by the State Legislature.

Hours & Admission
Open Daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Monday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 5 p.m.

Admission rates
Adults: $5
Senior citizens (60 and over): $3
Children 5-17: $2
Children 4 and under, all military veterans and museum members: Free
