All are invited to the annual Fire and Ice Winter Festival on Saturday, February 25th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Village Plaza in Jemez Springs.
This year’s festival will be held in conjunction with the New Mexico Centennial Celebration. An enjoyable array of activities are planned to help beat that winter “cabin fever.” The event is sponsored by the Village of Jemez Springs and the Jemez Valley Community Association (JVCA).
Activities include a chile cook-off, beer garden, inflatable hot-air jumper for kids, bake sale, book fair, chainsaw carving competition, crosscut sawing competition and arts and crafts vendors. Games for adults and children. Cash prizes! Carnival-type booths and contests benefit local nonprofit organizations. Local restaurants will have food booths or offer food specials. These are just some of the activities that will make for a fun-filled family day.
