Statehood highlights New Mexican Art and Artists in the twentieth and twenty-first Centuries, illuminating traditional folk traditions and techniques along with the innovative, modern folk expressions they inspired.
A diverse selection of weaving, embroidery, woodcarving, paintings, tin and metal work by the early 20th century artists, and today’s contemporary Artists are arranged in the drawers and cabinets of Lloyd’s Treasure Chest, where visitors can get closer to objects than traditional gallery installations allow.
