The New Mexico Centennial site provides two ways to submit your event:
- Create a New Mexico Centennial user account and use our online form to submit your project to our calendar. Once submitted, most events will be approved for inclusion and published within two business days.
- Create a New Mexico Centennial user account and download our application packet to become an official New Mexico Centennial event
Benefits of become an official New Mexico Centennial event:
- Permission to use the official New Mexico Centennial event logo
- Gain added exposure by being listed as an official New Mexico Centennial event on the New Mexico Centennial website
- Official events will be highlighted in New Mexico Centennial newsletters, press releases, social media, and other public announcements

Beginning in September 2011 and culminating in December 2012, New Mexico will honor its Centennial with a calendar of projects and events that recognize our state’s diverse culture.
The following are the requirements for becoming an Official New Mexico Centennial Project or Event. Upon approval, an official letter will be forwarded to the lead organization/organizer of the event.
Benifits of official Centennial projects & events:
- Permission to use the Official New Mexico Centennial event logo
- Gain added exposure by being listed as an Official New Mexico Centennial event on the New Mexico Centennial website
- Official events will be highlighted in New Mexico Centennial newsletters, press releases, social media, etc.
Official Centennial project & event criteria:
- Accurately portray a significant aspect of New Mexico history and/or culture, as it pertains to achieving statehood or the period 1912-2012;
- Include a Centennial and educational component;
- Be accessible to a large number of visitors/users;
- Include a description of all planning and implementation activities.
- Demonstrate collaboration in the planning and implementation.

The New Mexico Centennial Foundation has partnered with the NM Commission for Community Volunteerism and New Mexico Clean & Beautiful, in conjunction with The Corporation for National and Community Service, to maintain a list of local volunteer opportunities throughout New Mexico.
Whether you are a student or educator interested enhancing your educational experience through service learning, or an individual looking for volunteerism opportunities, there are many ways you can help your community, help our state, and enrich yourself through New Mexico Centennial Volunteers, a signature program of the NM Centennial.
Our volunteer program will be developing over the coming months; we invite you to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
